Four Leaves, 520 Horses, and Only 63 Lucky Devils… Alfa Romeo’s Collezione Is Pure Italian Madness

Alfa Romeo has done it again… taken something already slightly unhinged and made it rarer, redder, louder, and more Italian than a nonna shouting at traffic.

Welcome to the Giulia Quadrifoglio Collezione and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Collezione… two machines built to celebrate a little green four-leaf clover that’s been causing chaos since 1923. And no, you can’t just pop down to your local dealer and buy one after a cappuccino. There are only 63 of these globally. That’s it. Finito. Arrivederci.

Why 63? Because 1963 was the year the Quadrifoglio badge first escaped the racetrack and landed on a road car… the Giulia Ti Super. Alfa, being Alfa, decided that history should be celebrated not with a plaque or a museum exhibit… but with 520 horsepower and carbon fibre everywhere.

These rolling pieces of Italian attitude are assembled at the Cassino factory, where tradition, technology and probably a bit of espresso-fuelled shouting come together. Each one is officially certified as an Instant Classic… which is Alfa-speak for “this will be worth more than your house one day, oom Koos.”

And then there’s the colour. Oh mama. Meet Rosso Collezione Giulia and Rosso Collezione Stelvio… shades inspired by the already-legendary Rosso Villa d’Este from the 33 Stradale. This isn’t just red. This is Alfa red. A deep, inky, moody red that flirts with black in the shadows. The Giulia’s version is darker and more sinister… like it’s planning something. The Stelvio’s is brighter and bolder… because even your practical-ish SUV should look like it wants to race a Ferrari at the robots.

Inside, it’s pure theatre. Leather everywhere. Red stitching. Alcantara. Carbon-fibre Sparco seats with shells so racy they look illegal. And stitched proudly into the seats is your number… “1 di 63” all the way to the last unicorn. Subtlety? Nee wat. This is Alfa Romeo.

Under the bonnet lives the same glorious 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6, punching out 520 horsepower, connected to your soul via the accelerator pedal. And just to make sure your neighbours hate you properly, Akrapovič exhaust is standard. Because silence is for electric scooters and people who complain on Facebook.

Carbon fibre is everywhere… mirrors, tunnel, dashboard, even the roof. Carbon-ceramic brakes clamp down like a tax auditor, complete with red Alfa Romeo signatures on the calipers. It’s excessive. It’s dramatic. It’s magnificent.

These cars aren’t just transport. They’re a tribute. To racing. To passion. To the madness that makes Alfa Romeo completely irresistible and completely unreliable for anyone with a calm heart rate.

Only 63 people on the planet get to own one.

Everyone else… gets to stare, drool, and say, “Ja nee, they don’t make cars like that anymore.”
